Refund Policy

The City of Athens Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing quality programs, services and facilities. The Department strives to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. In certain cases and conditions outlined herein, it is the policy of the Department to provide refunds to our customers.

Refund requests must be made in writing to recreation@athenstn.gov or by mail to Athens Parks and Recreation, 815 N. Jackson St., Athens, TN 37303.

Refund requests are processed according to the guidelines included below.

Pavilion, Ballfield(does not include tournaments) and Pool Rentals - In order to obtain a refund, the Recreation office must receive notice seven days prior to the date reserved. If inclement weather occurs the reservation may be rescheduled, or a refund may be obtained by bringing the receipt to the Recreation office. If more than half of a reservation or rental is completed, no refunds will be given.

Tournament - Please refer to your contract for refund policy.

Conference Center - Please refer to your contract for refund policy.

Programs - A 100% refund will be given to participants registered for youth leagues where uniforms and/or other equipment/items have not been ordered. No refund request will be honored after uniforms/equipment have been ordered and/or game play has started.
